An Individual or Company who are licensed by law, to give advice, on many different products from, the Whole of the Market, and also offer the client the opportunity to pay a fee for their services.

Surely it costs a lot of money to get Independent Mortgage Advice?

No. Prudent Mortgages will not charge you a fee, unless you choose to deal with us in this way. We receive commission from the product provider and this pays for the advice that we provide. So getting advice from us before you undertake any financial arrangement will cost you no more than if you made your own arrangements. In many circumstances we are able to arrange more favourable terms than you could get yourself. You also have the benefit of knowing that you have received the best advice for your circumstances. If any fees are to be incurred, you will be told in advance, and have the opportunity to terminate our relationship.

Aren’t most large institutions independent?

No. Many people assume this, but in fact many of the banks, building societies and similar institutions are tied to one company only.

Does this really matter, as they must give good advice anyway?

There is no suggestion that they do not give good advice, but it is limited to their companies range of products, some of which may not be highly competitive.
